Za'atar

Za'atar is the most beloved spice mix in Palestine. Za’atar is traditionally eaten for breakfast with olive oil and fresh flat bread. Canaan Women’s Cooperatives make Za’atar according to tradition with freshly harvested and dried oregano, roasted sesame seeds, and sumac.

The fresh aroma of oregano, acidity of sumac, and nutty flavor from sesame add up to a winning combination of texture and flavor.
